PLATH/HUGHES is a duet musical about the meeting, marriage, and deaths of Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes, two of the century’s most influential poets.

Poetry Is Productions mounted a fully reprised production of PLATH/HUGHES as part of this year’s Chicago Musical Theatre Festival, sponsored by Underscore Theatre Company.

Performances were Wednesday July 1 @ 9:30 PM, Thursday July 2 @ 10 PM, Sunday, July 5 @ 3:30 PM, & Saturday July 11 @ 9:30 PM. All performances were at The Den Theatre.

PLATH/HUGHES has previously appeared as a full production at Gorilla Tango Theatre; Festival of the Arts at UChicago; Rhinoceros Festival 2014 with Curious Theatre Branch; and a workshop production at the University of Chicago with University Theater. This is the first production associated with Poetry Is.
